The cellar you don't have to build.

Esquin Wine Storage is a temperature-controlled locker facility at the back of Esquin Wine Merchants in SODO — held near 55°F, 50–75% relative humidity, light and vibration controlled. Eight locker sizes, 9 to 220 cases, from $27 a month. Your own lock on the door, seven days a week to get to it.

Pick a locker. Count the bottles.

Eight sizes, every rate published. Capacities are Esquin's own, measured in standard 12-bottle cases — the math below just multiplies them out.

* Storage capacity was measured by using typical red wine cardboard boxes. Your actual capacity may vary depending on the types of boxes being stored. All wine lockers are billed quarterly in advance and require a one month security deposit. Lockers hold wine by the case or in storage racks.

Sheet WS-103 · Plan & elevation

The bank, drafted.

The same eight sizes, drawn the way the facility thinks about them — a wall of hand-planked doors in elevation, a secured row in plan. The dimension strings carry what matters: capacities and rates, as published.

Architectural drawing of the Esquin Wine Storage locker bank drafting itself: construction lines first, then wood-plank hatching, then the locker wall in elevation — Upper Small 21 cases, Upper Medium 45, Medium Plus 57, Petite 9, Mid-Level Small 21, Mid-Level Medium 45, Large 110, and a floor-to-ceiling Walk In at 220 cases — beside a plan of the storage row with door swings opening to the aisle. Dimension callouts read: eight sizes, 9 to 220 cases, $27 to $273 per month; 55 degrees Fahrenheit constant, 50 to 75 percent relative humidity; sprinklered, alarm monitored 24/7; your own lock — only you get in.

Sheet WS-104 · The field, surveyed

What wine storage comes with.

Survey the field — three Seattle-area facilities and three national wine-storage services — and the pattern is consistent. What clients most often get: a 55°F set-point, individually secured lockers from roughly six to two hundred cases, and staff who receive wine shipments on your behalf. Climate is table stakes; every operator that publishes a specification lands within a few degrees of the same number.

What clients value sorts into a short list: receiving that's bundled rather than billed, hours that match how people actually visit, pricing you can read before you call — and, at the top of the market, services layered above the storage itself. Demand here is not hypothetical: one established Seattle-area facility reports it is nearly at full capacity.

Where this facility stands: Esquin publishes its climate spec and every rate — the $27 Petite is the lowest published monthly rate in the field surveyed. Receiving and temporary holding come with the locker. And it is the only facility surveyed where the storage sits behind a working wine shop, with 5% off in-store wine purchases for tenants.
